March 24.  Fifteen Menards Infiniti Pro Series cars, and their drivers, made their debut on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course today for a day of testing.  Their race on this circuit will be in conjunction with the F1 U.S. Grand Prix on June 18/19.  Three of the names on the entry list packed the maximum marketing promotion power that the Pro Series could have wished for: Andretti, Unser, Luyendyk.  And all three delivered.

In descending order, the top six speeds were turned in by, Jeff Simmons, Chris Festa, Marco Andretti, Wade Cunningham, Al Unser and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Yes, Marco is Michael's son and Al is Al Jr.'s son.

When asked about the day, Wade Cunningham, whose fourth fastest time was sandwiched in between Andretti and Unser, remarked that, "the track was actually pretty good, and surprisingly wasn't too slippery to start with.  That was a big surprise and a bit of a relief."

Today's road course practice was timely given that the Pro Series races next on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, April 3.
