February 8.  The IRL Infiniti Pro Series held their second and last open testing here today at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) prior to the March 6 opening race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.  Homestead had been the site of the first testing session.  Their second race of the season will be back here in Phoenix at PIR on March 19.  Five new drivers, along with veterans of the Series, tuned up by turning a total of 1363 laps on the fast but difficult and tricky PIR one mile track.
